"For a decade I took Pilates classes with Vanessa. And I remember being among her very first students in Brussels.
I liked the relaxed non-competitive atmosphere as well as her competent teaching. I was always sure not to endanger my health while at the same time she pushed me to the limit of what I was able to do. In her individual instructions, she always considered each and everybody's capabilities. There was always some joking and I also never felt conscious about going to class wearing my oldest leggins etc.
Back in Germany I was very determined to continue with Pilates, but as I did not manage to find a class similar to hers - just pure Pilates without any chi chi or special equipment, etc.. - I finally turned to Yoga. But also in Yoga I still benefit from the muscles built during Pilates classes and I even do some of the same exercises.
But I would definitely recommend Pilates first because it is fun, even when you first start and your are not very trained and of course for its health benefits. Ever since I followed Pilates class I never had problems with my lower back again."

"I've started to follow Vanessa's classes in January 2015, after having discovered that I had a herniated disc.
My physiotherapist adviced me to do "Pilates"... Except that it gave Madonna a dream body, I had no idea about what it was and what I was going to do! An ex-colleague (and neighbour) recommended me the KokyuDo studio, very close from home. This last criteria was important to me because I'm doing long days at work and I needed a quick access from work and from home. I followed her advice and convinced my sister to come with me. I've discovered a sweet but efficient sportive and mental activity. My Pilates course has become my essential weekly moment of relaxation, and helped me to live with my herniated disc.
